"Superman" Widow Dana Reeve Has Cancer
Dana Reeve, wife of the late Christopher Reeve, has been forced to reveal that she has lung cancer after a tabloid leaked the information online.

The widow of "Superman" star Reeve announced her illness on Tuesday, Aug. 9, according to the AP. "I have recently been diagnosed with lung cancer, and am currently undergoing treatment," she says in a statement. "I have an excellent team of physicians, and we are optimistic about my prognosis."

Just one day before her announcement, the National Enquirer site had divulged her condition.

He died a few days ago man.

They were saying it was only 4 months after he announced his illness publicly.

He got cancer from smoking....I don't know where Dana Reeve got it but I would assume the same thing.

Hopefully she will live for a long while, since although he only announced it in April Peter Jennings actually had lung cancer for about 20 years.

No he only learned he had it this spring. It's all over the news.

He informed his co-workers by email before it was announced on TV.
