TV: "Hell's Kitchen" Season 2 is a go!

Gordon Ramsay will be back to terrorize another set of would-be chefs for FOX. The network has picked up its cooking-competition series "Hell's Kitchen" for a second season.

The final episode saw Michael Wray, a 27-year-old chef from Colorado, win the title of "Head Chef" from the demanding Ramsay and the chance to run his own restaurant. It was the most-watched episode of the series and also delivered the show's best ratings among FOX's core demographics of adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

It was probably the demographic numbers, in fact, that earned the show a pickup. "Hell's Kitchen" averaged a little over 7 million viewers during its run --decent for summer but hardly earth-shattering. But it was consistently among the top 10 in adults 18-49, which is primarily how FOX measures its success.
