Yes in a season of a ton of remakes we are finally getting another sequel.
This one to the 1989 Patrick Swayze hit "Road House."
The word is that this was just green lighted and they are working with Swayze to get him signed on as well right now. If he agrees he would return as the infamous bouncer Dalton for the Double Duece night club.
The events of the film would take up right where the first one left off with no plans to update the environment although this film took place close to 15 years ago.
The events that lead up to this film being ok'd for production were Sony's recent purchase of MGM and all their back catalog of films. Apparently someone is a big fan of this film over there!

Today is a sad day. I've learned, via the bearers of bad tidings at the BBC, that Patrick Swayze won't be returning to star in ROAD HOUSE 2.
Apparently, King Swayze was on a BBC program "Talking Movies" where he broke the bad news that he will not be starring in ROAD HOUSE 2. In fact Dalton isn't even going to be the main character. According to Swayze, Dalton was written in a small role but, understandably, Swayze wasn't interested in returning in a small role and turned the part down. He also seemed to hint that someone else may be taking over his role.
In fact Sony has gone out to get Johnathon Schaech, worst known for his roles in POISON IVY 2 and BLOOD CRIME, to replace The Swayz. Schaech will play Dalton's nephew in the film who comes to the bar to take over for his uncle. As if his uncle needs any help from some punk ass nephew... Sway did tell the BBC he would like to reunite with Jennifer Grey for another DIRTY DANCING movie and to make sure that she has not been relegated to any more corners since they last tangoed.

They should get his brother to do it lol. He always seemed like the Evil twin or something with how he looked. Just looked "evil" all the time.
Oh, and he didn't have a problem playing a small role when they made Dirty Dancing 2 or whatever.

Hahaha, man that was a terrible movie, with a terrible actor.
Mike from Mystery Science Theatre 3000 actually listed it as his favourite and worst movie. It's that terrible.
