But Shore is offering honest-to-goodness legal tender for your time if you don't chuckle at "Minding the Store," which debuts Sunday, July 17.

"I've convinced the network heads at TBS to let me offer this special guarantee," the ex-Wiez explains. "It's our way of saying we value people's television-viewing time, and we know they'll feel their time spent watching 'Minding the Store' is well worth it."
"Minding the Store" follows Shore as he tries to restore the luster to the Comedy Store, the legendary Sunset Strip comedy club owned by his mother, Mitzi, which has fallen on some tough times. It blends some real-life elements with partly scripted, "Curb Your Enthusiasm"-style comedy bits.

Viewers who don't laugh at the premiere can send a request that details why they didn't like the show to TBS, and they'll receive a check for $1. The offer runs through Aug. 15 or until the network receives 250,000 requests, whichever comes first. (Details are at TBS.com.)

For the purposes of the offer, TBS says, "grins, smirks, smiles and giggles all count as actual laughs," as do "hoots, howls and guffaws."

The only time I have laughed at Pauly was his role in Encino Man.

I have to admit he has some funny one liners in there.

Otherwise his comedy is old and tired.

Yeah seriously, they probably send you the cheque POD as well, meaning you end up down, should you actually be desperate enough to ask for it.

I wonder if they give you more money if he actually makes you cry?
