I caught it earlier this afternoon and I must say that it was indeed a damn good superhero film. Batman was my favorite when I was a kid, and still is one of them (though he is behind Superman now To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. The only problem I had with the film was that it was very choppy in the first act with all the flashbacks. That could have been executed better. However the rest of it was superb. A definite recommendation.
Hope the second one starts production real soon. They give a pretty good indicator as to who the next villain will be at the end of the film. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I just can't get excited about this, even though Batman is one of my favorites. I think the attitude of the director of this towards the Burton films has really turned me off.
How would you say it compared to the first two Burton Batmans movies?

I'm not a fan of Batman by any means but I'm not againts it either.. I'm kinda netural.. I'm a Spiderman guy. Thus I wasn't really excited about this movie nor am I familiar with the old series, comics or movies. With that said....
THIS MOVIE ROCKED!
I thought the story, wheather it was the original story or not, was great. It has a really good swerve and still made sense. It was not shallow nor was it toooo deep. Great action, too! I recomend it for anyone who likes good action films.

Well, sounds like you guys really enjoyed it. It doesn't look bad at all (except the Batmobile looks retarded imo), its just this hangup I have about the people that made it lol.

I don't hand down compliments lightly...with that said this is the best Batman film of all time IMO.
Everything was great, the cast, the plot, the direction. Awesome locales too...
And for a superhero movie this one at least tried to stay in reasonable bounds without straying too far into "Yeah right" range.
I enjoyed the first two Batman films but this one got it right on all levels in my view and made Batman the star of the film and not the villian the star of the piece.

The trailers haven't really got me excited for this, but I want to go and see it. Mainly because I think Bale is a great actor and this should be a good film at least.
I actually dreamt I was seeing this in a dream and from what I saw, the first 30 mins or so, my dream self thought it was very good. Weird I know, maybe it's a sign.
How would you say it compared to the first two Burton Batmans movies?
I really can't compare this film to the first two Burton movies simply because those films have a nostalgia for me. However, Begins is a damn worthy entry (even if it is a total restart of a franchise).
Don't hesitate, pp2! Go see it! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
