Michael Jackson Thinking Ahead?

Maybe it's just me but isn't it a little premature for Michael to be booking his next gig? I watched the trial re-enactment on E! yesterday and it could go either way in this case, in my opinion.

Quote:
LOS ANGELES - If Michael Jackson is found not guilty on charges of child molestation, he might take his act to Sin City.
The King of Pop has been in discussions with hotel mogul Steven Wynn to be a featured performer at the posh Wynn Hotel and Casino, according to Celebrity Justice.

Sources say that the two have been in "numerous meetings" about the proposed gig for more than a year and that there may even be a standing offer already made.

Jackson and Wynn met in 1989 when the entertainer began spending time at Wynn's Mirage hotel. Their friendship has stayed steady through the years and they've often talked about working together.

A spokesperson for Wynn's hotel wasn't forthcoming with any facts, merely telling Celebrity Justice, "We're not talking about this."
Jackson's defense team rested its case on Wednesday, after the testimony of "Rush Hour" star Chris Tucker. Closing arguments are expected to take place the following week. The pop singer has been charged with child molestation, administering an intoxicating agent, and conspiring to commit child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion.

Or maybe he bought himself a verdict? This trial has been beyond strange, though I've passed on many of the details since hearing recounts about molestation is hard for me to do, being a parent and what-not. You have to wonder how many times someone can be accused of the same thing by different people before he has to pay his dues.

Even if everything is on the up and up, what does this say about Wynn? You would think most people in Jackson's position would be dead from a career standpoint.

Considering Jackson's last album sales I am not surprised that he is considering Vegas but I am suprised that he is that stupid to look into this before the end of the trial. Like you said he either bought a verdict or just doesn't take this whole thing seriously.

Although providing good analysis on E! their re-enactments are kind of goofy and over the top. I turned it off after watching the first replay. I don't plan on watching it again.

I have a feeling this will turn into another "He got off but everyone still thinks he's guilty" thing.

Yeah, I agree...just like with all the other times he's faced the same charge. I don't understand why these parents are willing to settle for cash...I'd be suing for 10 minutes alone in a room with him and legal immunity for those 10 minutes.

It is odd, like you said, that he's looking past the trial like this. He probably isn't taking it serious...I mean, showing up in your pajamas? I just think the whole thing is dirty. But then again, I watched Runaway Jury again last night so its all a big conspiracy!
