well since i started an indie thread i think its only fair to have a heavy metal one

post your fav heavy metal bands dont matter if they have a huge label or a small one just post your favs

i dont really have many so im just going to say

the bleed (im not that into metal sry metalheads i like the mosh pits that goes along with metal though lol)

lol okay Im pretty obsessed with Killswitch Engage right now, There album End The Heartache is pretty always on Repeat for me. But with there new singer howard jones and with the twin axe attack of Joel and Adam lol it makes them one of my favorites. cause they tend to have very Catchy Riff's that dont over shadow the lyrics, Like many bands do (such as Childern of The Bodom and Arch Enemy do) Not to mention that Adam D is one funny dude lol

2: Slayer

haha, Both bands own, and I enjoy both on the same level. Even though Metallica has changed alot, I do think its good that have branched out and tried new things lol Cause Load was one of my favorite albums from the 90's. On the other hand I don't think Megadeth has changed much theyve grown yes, but they still have there core sound and I respect them for that. Wether there recent signing with Roadrunner will water down there sound(such as it did with Dragonforce) remains to be seen but there best album In my opinion was The System Has Failed, and Kuodos for them being great.

not really a heavy metal fan but i like slayer metallica megadeth soil some pantera etc. also a (local) band none of you ever heard of in Phobia.

My favourite metal band at the moment is by far Killswitch Engage. Ever since I heard the album The End Of Heartache I have loved the band. All of their songs are great. My favourite song at the moment is Rise Inside, and then The End Of Heartache. Like Shaun said, their guitarist Adam D is really funny. Lol, I watched their DVD documentery, and he does some pretty funny stuff. Their story is just incredible. Terrific band.

My second favourite is Bullet For My Valentine. I don't know, I just listenned to them one day and loved their music ever since.
