Does Lucas pull away from CGI at all? I found the last two to be way too involved with the CGI. It bothers the living shit out of me.
The first three filmed were classics because there was none of that CGI shit. There were some things missing, sure, but everything looked real. And why's everyone in these new films doing flips and shit with the light sabers when they couldn't do any movements like that in the older three?
This one does look really impressive though. Is there anything SHOCKING about it or does it pretty much stay the way everyone would expect?
Don't you think Lucas would have used CGI in the original trology if he was able to? I loved TPM and AOTC and will go see ROTS this weekend if I can.
Hey spanky, how much do we get to see Darth Vader? It would suck Anakin doesn't become Vader untill the last 2 minutes or something.
Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.
Lucas probably would've used CGI in the first trilogy but that doesn't mean it would've been a good thing.
The new trilogy looks like a cartoon, like Roger Rabbit, and it's hard to suspend disbelief when 70% of the movie is like that.
Even a lot of the stop animation looked better than the CGI. Sure it creates whole new worlds but it seemed a lot stronger the way it was in the original. The effects enhanced the story, not became it.
