Fantastic Four

Anyone else looking at this with as big of a "meh" as I am?

I dig the Four, just not excited about this project. Jessica Alba is a plus, but she's invisible.

Also, Michael Chiklis. Ugh. I still see him as that dork from the one Seinfeld episode. That's one reason I can't get into The Shield...trying to buy into Chiklis being a tough guy is laughable.

Spidey, got any info on this one? Is there a reason you know of to check it out?

Two words...Julian McMahon.

The guy is awesome in his roles. Watch Nip/Tuck and you will see what I mean. He is Dr Doom in this flick.

I am suspect of the story though as I think the film will be too much CGI.

Word is the ending was re-shot twice because the public reacted badly to it.

I am fearful of spending $9 on it so I will wait for the DVD release and purchase it there.

That was one thing I noticed in the previews I've seen, the CG is hot and heavy. And not in a good "Gollum/LotR" way, but more like in the "Triple X-2/Incredible Hulk" way.

Thats interesting about the ending. That also doesn't bode well for the script as a whole, methinks.

Say, let me know if they have any copies left when you rent yours. ;)

lol Will do.

It has the hottie factor with Alba and McMahon lends some credibility to the villian role but I doubt it will break any sales records.

I was excited to see it but now I am fearful.

We shall see.

I'm a huge Fantastic Four fan and a huge Jessica Alba fan, but from what I've seen so far..this movie doesn't look as great as I thought it'd be. It looks like it's going to be another Hulk and that's not a good thing. I hope I'm wrong

Meh, you're just excited about the whole "flame on" thing.

And yeah Alba is hot...like, to the nth degree...but she's INVISIBLE girl here lol.

Hulk was a mess but it had it's moments.

I have heard they were considered making a sequel to it with a new director and a "changed" direction in terms of CGI and animation effects.

But Eric Bana wasn't interested and I think the idea went on hold shortly thereafter.

Why do you keep sayin' that?..lol She will only be invisible some of the time, not all the time. The rest of the time she'll be wearing that tight ass suit and I'll be drooling like I've never seen a woman before.

By the way, anyone see Alba's new hair style?..she cut it short now. I hate it.:frown2:

Yeah, it's for a new movie.

I think she'll go back to the other one in time.

When they were doing press conferences on Sin City she was commenting on how she loved it and planned to stick with it for awhile.
