I am watching it right now, (3rd episode in a row). Its the one where George tries to make any black person he meets his friend to prove to Mr. Morgan at the Yankees that he likes black people.
Haha.
Although the mother from the 70's show is Jerrys agent in this episode. Her character was so annoying its not funny.
I was watching that episode too, funny stuff. Is it just me or does Jason Alexander channel Jackie Gleason when playing George? Anyway...
Did you see the one over the weekend, The Cigar Store Indian? The one where Jerry is dating an Indian woman and he already offended her by making war cry noises regarding a cigar store Indian he bought Elaine. Later he gets into a complete p.c. mess with common everyday terms in conversation. He has to catch himself from saying he got some game tickets from a scalper and that he made a dinner "reservation". Best exchange was regarding his date asking for the return of a TV Guide she had given him:
Her: I want that back, its mine.
Jerry: You can't give me something then ask for it back...that's makes you an...
Her: A WHAT?
Jerry: Ahm...a person who takes things back?
Her: An INDIAN GIVER?
Jerry: (indignant) I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with that term....
Some great stuff in this show. Pretty much every episode had memorable sequences like this. Season 4 comes out next week on dvd!
Yeah, I remember that being mentioned in the extras on the dvd sets and yet...I dunno. I hear Ralph Kramden when George begins to rant.
Meh, I wish all the dvds were out already. I just saw Soup Nazi last week and I need another fix. Seriously, there are so many classic episodes from this show its sickening. We'll probably never see anything like it again.
The great thing about this show is that they can make a really funny episode out of practically nothing..just them talking like we do in real life.
Some of my favorite episodes for example, they don't even go anywhere. The parking garage episode, the one where Elaine and Jerry go to get the chocolate bobca or whatever and at the same time George and Kramer are getting wine, or even the chinese restaurant episode.
