Hugo Takes Over on V
Hugo Weaving of "Agent Smith" fame from the Matrix films has stepped in to take over for James Purefoy on the comic film "V for Vendetta". The film also co-stars Natalie Portman. The movie will star Weaving in the title character of V who sparks a revolution in a futuristic version of London. Most of Purefoy's scenes were short with the character in a mask so most of the scenes may not have to be re-shot and just voiced over by Hugo.

Spider Sense Says: Weaving is a good choice as a replacement. He has the voice and the look for the character if you've ever read the comic.

Jennifer Garner Pregnant?
There are reports surfacing that Jennifer Garner is 3 months pregnant with Ben Affleck's baby. This would make the baby due in November. This could proove tricky with her heavy stunts scheduled on the tv show "Alias".

Spider Sense Says: Congrats to the happy couple if this is true!

Abdul on SNL
Paula Abdul appeared on Saturday Night Live over the weekend and poked fun at the recent conterversy with the allegations of her having an affair with an American Idol contestant, Corey Clark.

The sketch had her evaluating an impersonation of her done by one of the show regulars:

"You need to perfect the clap a little more and be a lot more sexier so contestants will be willing to sleep with you."

Spider Sense Says: She obviously has a good sense of humor and seems to be taking this whole situation in stride.

Stir of Echoes 2
The sequel to the smash hit film "Stir of Echoes" starring Kevin Bacon is now confirmed. Filming is set to begin on July 19th in New York with a script by Harris Wilkinson and Adam Green.

Spider Sense Says: I loved the original fim and look forward to this sequel.

DC Comics New Logo
DC Comics, home to the Superman and Batman characters, has released a new logo to be used on all movie and comic products to come from the company. A snapshot is below.

Spider's Web? Hmm, I think you should leave out the celebrity gossip though, it's cheesy.

I've been posting these for quite awhile now under that title. If you had read my previous posts you would see that. I had a request for some new updates so I did some research this morning and posted.

And these are not gossip, I put up nothing that's not confirmed by several news sites and respectable sources.

I can not verify this of course until the celeb admits it in the news, but the Garner story was admitted by three sources close to her, etc.
