I'm sure by now most of you have seen one if not both of the Rush Hour films.

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan recently signed on for a third picture.

Also Brent Ratner, the guy who was once going to direct Superman Returns, is set to return as well.

Any thoughts on this film?

Will you go see it or wait for the DVD release.

I, personally, will wait for the DVD release as I am not a big fan of the other two movies.

I will probably wait for DVD simply because I hate theatres. But I did like both Rush Hour movies (I like anything with Jackie Chan). I still prefer Jackie Chan in Hong Kong movies though but if he is going to make American movies the Rush Hour ones have been my favorite with the Shanghai ones in second so this is good news

Actually looking forward to this movie. Both the previous two ones were funny as hell. I think they make a good team, and glad to see them both returning.

I wish they made a new Friday with Chris Tucker coming back into the role. That would be sweet

I'll most likely go see this one. I LMAO during the 2nd one and the two of them have good chemistry.. Hmm maybe it'll be Rush Hour 3 in NY, picking up where Rush Hour 2 left off.

I just watched Rush Hour 2 again last night with my wife.

It was a good watch....we both laughed a lot.

Now I am anxious to see what they do with part 3 since it is the same team all around.

They produce quality sequels.

I believe Rush Hour 2 was one of very few movies to make more money as a part 2 then the original made.

I thought the first 2 were okay, so i'll just pay $5.50 to see it in the theatre rather than spend $20 on the DVD since I usually don't watch a movie more than once unless I really love it.

This movie was greenlighted today for a 2007 release.

Chris Tucker will earn $20 million against 20% of gross, and his deal comes with a second-picture commitment for the same salary on a film to be determined later. The actor has given up script approval as long as the final draft matches what Nathanson pitched, adds the trade.

Jackie Chan will get around $15 million against 15% of gross, but he will also own the film's distribution rights in China and Hong Kong.

Brett Ratner the director will get an increase in the upfront part of the $5 million-against-5% gross deal he had on Rush Hour 2.

Jeff Nathanson, who scripted the last film, will be paid seven figures to write the third installment.

New Line has the option to greenlight the film by May, based on script approval and a budget the studio hopes won't exceed $120 million. That greenlight would trigger pay-or-play deals for the helmer and the two stars.

The film will begin shooting next summer in the U.S. and Paris and anchor the studio's summer 2007 schedule.

It means that the more successful the movie is the more money they make.

The gross amount the film makes....they get a percentage of that based on the box office totals.

They're basically basing the success of Rush Hour 2 on how well this one will do.

Does that make sense?
