Favourite Killswitch Engage Vocalist...

Well i've been a fan of Killswitch Engage for over a year now. Ever since I got their album 'The End Of Heartache'. Now I have all three of their albums and new DVD, and was just wondering who has the best vocals out of Howard Jones and Jesse David Leach. For about a year my favourite was Howard Jones. His vocals on The End Of Heartache, Rose Of Sharon, When Darkness Falls, and the remake of Fixation on the Darkness were really good. But then it took me to listen to the whole album of 'Alive or Just Breathing...' to think otherwise. I had gotten familiar with songs such as Numbered Days, My Last Serenade, and Life To Lifeless. But then I heard some more. Two which are now becoming my favourite songs from the band The Element of One, and Rise Up. His voice on them songs were just amazing.

So I was wondering which is your favourite out of the two? I think they are both great, but i'm leaning towards Jesse Leach on this one.

My favorite has to be Howard, Jesse was a good singer in his own right but his growls compaired to Howards just seem to over growl where as howards seem to fit the tone of Adam D's and Joel Stroetzel's guitar riffs better and allow them to get alittle more Melodic, and at the same time still be able to do The really fast metal stuff.

Not to mention The lyrics that Howard writes are alot better then Jesse's in my opinion.

howard is one of the best vocalists in metal, jesse is good, but he's no howard, I mean, think about it, why part with jesse if he was any good?

Well, Jesse actually left the band under his own free will.

and he's stupid for doing it, ever since he left, they have been getting more rave reviews.

He didn't leave it because he had beef with the other members. If you've seen the KsE DVD then you will see that they are all still friends. Even their old drummer is still good friends with the band. He left because of personal issues. And he kept blowing out his vocals. So yea...
