Kevin Smith's Revenge of the Sith Review

For those who don't know who Kevin Smith is, he is the acclaimed writer/director of such comedies as Clerks, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma, etc. Aside from that, he is also known as one of the biggest Star Wars geeks out there.

Such a big geek, that he was allowed to watch Episode III at Skywalker Ranch with his wife (a fellow Star Wars geek) for the wedding anniversary. His review can be found here: http://viewaskew.com/news/sith/

Warning: His review DOES contain spoilers, so beware.

When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
Luke 21:20-28

Always good to hear a raving review but I'm having a hard time keeping my expectations in check. I expect greatness, Empire Strikes Back greatness. Here's hoping.
By the way, has anybody get any confirmation on Kevin Smith being the guy to run the new Star Wars tv series? Spidey you got any scoop for me?

This is from theforce.net. There's no mention of Kevin Smith as I think Lucas will be involved heavily during the first season:

I doubt we will ever see Jar Jar again...

Lucas is just out of touch enough to do that, too. I really hope he's not writing the tv series.

Well, that's got potential tragedy written all over it then. This guy will probably gear it towards 8 year olds too. Meh. Planet of the Jar Jars.

The sad truth is that either of those are possible...maybe even likely.
