The current owners of the house actually changed the looks slightly (the evil "eyes" on the side are now gone) in order to not be bugged. It hasn't worked.

As for the remake, it blows. I wanted to like it (Ryan Reynolds is the man!) but it just wasn't a good film. The original, as corny as it can get, is far more entertaining.

Shining Wizard

I really hated the original so I really didn't have any expectations and I was pleasently surprised by this remake. Nothing revolutionary here but it is a solid little horror movie. Nothing all that "scary" here but it kept me interested.
