Spider's Web - Movie News 04/20/05

Greetings to all from the Spider’s Web!

I am back with my usual investigations. I have been away for a few days so i've only been able to offer my usual comments to threads.

Behold the tidbits below and enter my web.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Snipes Sues Over Blade
Blade 1, 2, & 3 star Wesley Snipes is currently in the midst of tax troubles and a paternity case. Admist all this he has filed a lawsuit against the movie studio that produced the latest Blade movie, Blade: Trinity. He claims that the studio failed to live up to promises of giving him final say on the screenplay and director. He also states that he is still owed $3.6 million off the movie that he never recieved for the star role.

Spider Sense Says: Snipes should be pissed that he even starred in this dung heap of a movie. His career has been in the toilet for quite awhile now. It is a shame because I like Blade 1 & 2.

Basic Instinct 2 Cast Grows

Charloette Rampling and David Thewlis have joined the cast of the sequel to Basic Instinct that is currently being filmed. Sharon Stone once again stars as the ice pick murderer Catherine Tramwell who meets her match this time in a Scotland Yard detective who has been assigned to evaluate her. Yes there is tons of lesbian sex in this movie but no Micheal Douglas. Reports are that a scene was filmed recently with Stone making love to a man while he was driving a car over a cliff.

Spider Sense Says: This movie might have been a good idea ten years ago but now....I smell stinker. I never liked the original that much either

Two More Join Da Vinci Code
Alfred Molina and Sir Ian McKellan have joined the cast of the movie adaption of the Da Vinci Code novel. The movie stars Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, and Jean Reno. Molina is said to have taken the role of Bishop Arigarosa and McKellan will play the role Sir Teabing, a resource for Tom Hank's character of Robert Langdon in his search for the Holy Grail. The film is also set to be directed by Ron Howard.

Spider Sense Says: With a solid cast and an interesting story, this looks to be a big hit next year.

Fast and Furious 3?!
In an interview conducted with producer Neal Moritz done over the past weekend the statement was made that they are looking into doing a third Fast and Furious movie. This time it would be without Paul Walker OR Vin Diesel and be set in Japan. They are interested in that location because they say street racing started there and is currently done there at a different "level" than in the USA.

Spider Sense Says: ummm....no thank you!

Wolverine Solo Movie
Current screen writer David Benioff is writing a solo movie version of the Wolverine character from the X-Men movies. This movie has already had Hugh Jackman confirmed to star. I am reading that the plot revolves around Wolvie's history in Japan and his efforts to thwart a criminal drug ring there. Benioff says to expect a harder edged film with an R rating. Also he says to expect a lot of "Beserker Rage" moments, like the mansion invasion scene from X2.

Spider Sense Says: Sounds like a solid movie!

I've seen a pic of her in the Daisy Duke shorts. I was flabbergasted.

Also, I forgot how hot the original Daisy Duke was. She was a fine piece of ass

Don't get me wrong, I like Jessica a lot.

There's just something about the original Daisy....I can't really explain it. I just feel it.

I know what you mean!

Catherine Bach is a sexy woman too!

I had a big crush on her when I was a kid.

BTW - She was in the Cannonball Run movies too with Burt Reynolds.

Enjoy!
