He reported that a remake of the famed '60s TV show "Get Smart" is in the works, which will be set in the modern day. Carell described the plot in detail: "They're developing right now, and they are in the process of writing the script so it's somewhere down the road. Right now, the approach is modern day. The basic premise is that both CONTROL and KAOS have fallen on hard times and are not being funded by the government. They're not getting the same kind of funding as (the) CIA. They have one last mission to try to get back on top…it's not retro at all." He also talked about his next film: "I'm supposed to do a small, little independent movie called 'Little Miss Sunshine', and I think that starts filming in June." The 40-Year-Old Virgin hits theaters August 19th. In the meantime, Carell has been starring in the NBC sitcom "The Office." Link: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=9007 | |
