Points: 41,990, Level: 90 | | Carnivale closing shop? The critically-acclaimed "Carnivale" might be packing up the horsies, retiring the clowns and firing the lion-tamer. Yup, seems the last performance is nigh for the HBO series.
According to Variety, a third season of the series is unlikely, with sources telling the trade that despite the season 2 finale garnering a cool 2.4 million peeps, it's not likely to be renewed.
"Carnivale" creator-exec producer Daniel Knauf, however, has already begun developing another series : a comedy series project for rival pay cablercabler Showtime.
The official announcement should be around the corner I'm assuming.
