Love to play Lovelace
Courtney Love is set to play infamous porn actress Linda Lovelace in a new movie about her life.

The wild rocker is being lined up by film producer Jason Blum and her manager Jason Weinberg, who are both producing the biopic, tentatively titled 'Lovelace', to portray the 'Deep Throat' star.

The film will trace Lovelace's life from the age of 17, through to her brief but legendary porn career and her subsequent life as a militant feminist.
Lovelace, who in 'Deep Throat' played a woman whose clitoris was in her throat, claimed she had been forced to have sex on screen by her violent boyfriend, and openly denounced the porn industry right up until her tragic death after a car accident in 2002 at the age of 53.

It is not the first time Love - who has endured a turbulent past 16 months in which she was sentenced to three years' probation for assaulting a female musician and possession of drugs - has swapped music for acting.

The former Hole singer appeared alongside Woody Harrelson in 1996's biopic about x-rated magazine magnate Larry Flint, 'The People vs. Larry Flint', for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Flint's stripper wife.
