Gerald McRaney, who played the mining baron on the "Deadwood" season finale, is set to return for the show's third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
McRaney will appear in multiple episodes of "Deadwood" as Hearst, who bought up a number of Deadwood's mining claims through his now-dead intermediary Francis Wolcott (Garret Dillahunt), raising tensions among different factions in the camp. Recent credits for the "Simon & Simon" star include "Mister Sterling" and "Ike: Countdown to D-Day." |
