Little Nicky

Watched this on VHS again yesterday. In the previews before it starts they run an ad for DVDs and ask "Have you heard of DVD's yet?". They go on to list all the benefits of DVD, and proceed to tell the viewer that you can purchase a player for under $200. I guess this shows how old this movie is.

Anyways, I liked most of this movie. Some of it was crap, but one can overlook crap when the rest smells pretty good. I know critics weren't found of it, but what do they know. If Roger & Ebert ever gave an Adam Sandler movie "two thumbs up" it would be a sign of doomsday coming.

I liked it, and was mocked unmercifully for liking it.

and Reese Witherspoon looks AMAZING in the angel outfit. I'm not even a big fan of her

I thought it had its moments and Reese did look pretty hot and so did the other Angels, so I liked it

Don't like Adam Sandler, so never saw it. Heard from friends who saw it that it was a complete waste of money.

I love Adam Sandler, but this was pretty bad. There were some funny bits (GET IN THE FLASK!!!), but not a whole lot.

When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

The movie is only 4 years old. I think it show mores that you are still watching movies on VHS when you should be watching DVD's and have to be told so by a ad for DVD's. lol

I thought the movie was pretty entertaining.

This was a rare VHS watch for me. I actually bought it last xmas (not this past xmas) for Doyle, who didn't have a DVD player at the time. Bought it on the Internet somewhere for 3 bucks brand new still in the wrapper. Although, express shipping was like $10 to get it before xmas. Kind of defeats the purpose of getting a good price.
