I ordered the region 3 Edko DVD of that. I am not making the same mistake of waiting for a US DVD again. It is pathetic when a US DVD has worse image quality than a China DVD who are still only converting away from VCD. The US release is also cut because they decided it was too long. WTF? I can understand cutting out something really violent or something (Which still sucks). But deciding a movie is too long is stupidty. I do like what Miramax did with Zatoichi though. It isn't cut and they changed the color scheme to make it more realistic. It isn't the way it was meant to be but I can't complain with how much better it looks.
Anyway, enough bitching from me. Yes Hero is a great movie.
I have House Of Flying Daggers, Infernal Affairs Collection, Black Society Collection, 2009 Lost Memories, Hard Boiled, New Police Story, Zatoichi/Sonatine, Running On Karma and Beast Cops ordered so when they arrive I will be in for a good weekend of Asian cinema
