So I was thinking, if tommorrow the Academy annouce a set of Oscars which represent the greatest films of the last twenty years who do you think would win the awards.

Best Picture

Best Actor in Lead

Best Actor in Supporting

Best Documentary

Best Actress in Lead

Best Actrss in Supporting

Best Animation

I'd go with

Best Picture - Platoon

Best Actor in Lead - Hanks for Philadelphia

Best Actor in Support - Denzel Washington for Glory

Best Actress in Lead - Charlise Theron for Monster (god I love that film)

Best Actress in Support - Hmm undecided at the moment, toss up between Angelina Jolie and Judi Dench

Best Documentary - without a doubt Fog of War

Best Animation - Lion King

I only have an opinion on two of these, but here we go;

Best Picture: Citizen Kane

Best Actor: Ben Kingsley - Ghandi


The best animation would probably be one of those Disney films, but I can't be bothered to decide which I think is the best.

Oh, and Best Documentary is obviously Fahrenheit 9/11

Best Picture - Goodfellas (I changed this like 3 times...tough to pick one)

Best Actor in Lead - Tom Hanks, Philadelphia (either that, or Forrest Gump)

Best Actor in Supporting - Morgan Freeman, Shawshank Redemption

Best Documentary - Hoop Dreams

Best Actress in Lead - Jodie Foster "Silence of the Lambs"

Best Actress in Supporting - Linda Hamilton "Termonator 2"

Best Animation - Shrek
