And the repetitive nature can't be said of American shows?

Look at Friends, that's the same refiltered crap each time. That programme is awful, the characters are flat, soul-less, superficial morons. And the same joke just re-harvested and told in a slightly different way is terrible.

I'm not defending Little Britain, I don't like it very much.. In fact, I can't say I love many sitcom-like programmes, as the format is nearly always repetitive.. I prefer more factual based comedy such as Room 101, Have I got News for You? and They Think It's All over (All British shows in case you don't have them)..

Next time you watch Have I Got News For You, don't react to the 'fake laughing' they put in and think about the jokes Paul Merton and co make. They really aren't that funny at all, and quite poor. I used to think the show was fairly funny, but when the fake laughing editing became noticable and really stupid, I began to notice how unfunny the jokes were, and if it weren't for the fake laughs that would be more noticeable.

Room 101 is the same thing, depends on the guest they get on there though. Paul Merton just isn't funny. They Think It's All Over, however is generally funny though, because Jonathan Ross is hilarious on that.

I saw this show 'Coming Up Next' last night, so I thought I'd check it out. What a load of crap, in the whole half an hour I found ONE thing funny. Some Indian lady at Weight Watchers group was saying that "Fish and Chips" in reply to the question "What do you crave?". The lady up the front didn't understand her so just wrote down Curry. That was funny. The rest was shit.
