Conan to replace Leno

...in five years. Still, it's good to hear. Leno hasn't been funny since he took the Tonight Show (watch his stand-up and you'll see what I mean).

Conan really is in his prime and should be given the spotlight. Waiting too long would be a mistake and Conan would probably just move on to another network.

I agree that Conan should get it now. Conan is far and away the best late night host right now. too bad his show comes on too late for me to watch

Leno was nothing more then a kiss ass corporate bitch. letterman should have been the one to Replace Johnny. Conan is actually belly laughing funny most of the time but i dunno, NBC would make him tone it down with the earlier timeslot. When he was here in TO doing those shows, he was out right volgar and it was great lol.

Tone it down? Besides the masterbating bear and the occasional too rude Triumph I think he show is pretty tame.

Conan OBrien is easly the funniest guy on late night.

5 more years? Good God!!!!! Let him take over right now, he's by far the funniest late night talk show host out there.

Incase you hadn't noticed, leno is all about the family and very very tame. Conan is the complete oppsite. So yes, he would have to tone it down. NBC are stuck up prudes and will want him to be Carson or Leno like. That is why they didn't go with Letterman.

Conan's shtick is tired and and he's no longer entertaining to me. Don't get me wrong, he's still way better than Leno, but I just have trouble giving a shit whether it's Leno or Conan on the Tonight Show. Letterman is way better than both of them.

Yeah, I mostly agree with you. Conan is very formulated and aside from a few nights he doesn't really mix it up enough.

I still think Jon Stewart is by far the best late night guy there is. Obviously his act is too political though.

I think Conan replacing Jay will at least create something different.

Haha, I actually dont watch Leno.

Apparently there is some controversy surrounding this topic. NBC is the ones that told Leno he was done in 2009. Not the other way around. I was not aware of that.

It was funny, last night Conan was acting all crazy and kept saying "I was told I cant do this at 11:30." Then at the end he goes "Of Course I can ! I can do whatever I want!" (insert evil laughter)

Conan has NBC by the balls right now.

Probably not. The main reason NBC didn't pick Letterman is because he wasn't as family friendly as Leno.

If Conan goes too far and loses popularity it's highly unlikely they will sign him.
