Another Movie For The Rock; Actor Tapped For "Gridiron Gang"

While former WWE wrestlers Steve Austin, Kevin Nash and Goldberg are filming a football movie in "The Longest Yard," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is attached to "Gridiron Gang," reports Variety. Produced by Original, Jeff Maguire penned the script.

The film, based on a true story, follows teenagers at a youth probation center in Los Angeles who gain confidence when their counselor puts them on a football team. Lee Stanley, who will serve as a producer, also directed a documentary that detailed the true story.

After recently wrapping up on the set of Be Cool, The Rock will begin filming Instant Karma for New Line, before moving onto Spy Hunter.
