Has anyone seen this movie? If so, what did you think of it?

I rented it, and was very dissappointed. Admittedly I wasn't paying full attention because I was folding laundry and doing a couple other things while watching it, but in general I was just bored. I turned it off before it was even over. I should probably give it another chance though.

It's quite different. The story, the ending, and everything in-between is very non-traditional.

It's hard to say that it's a great movie or a bad movie. My opinions were neither of those without being apathetic.

It's subtle. If your not into that, you won't like it and don't bother.

I just saw this movie on Film4..

I thought it was fantastic! I liked the subtle nuances of Charlotte's and Bob's relationship as it blossomed. I liked the use of Japan as a symbol for the alienation they felt.. the casting was fantastic, the cinematography was fantastic, the acting was great, the comedy worked well.. it was a nice, innocent love story. And we need more of 'em.
