As I understand ti its been out in the States for a week or two now and if you haven;t seen it I would suggest you do.....now!.
The story for I, Robot is set in 2035 and Will Smith who puts in the best performance of his career is a robophobic homicide cop who believes thata Robot has comitted a murder despite Robots being unable to harm people due to the three laws of robotics which are hardwired in their circuits.
A chain of events follows which unearths a much greater problem with the Robots and Will Smith has to solve the problem before its too late.
For a Summer action film I wasn;t expecting much as I sat there last night but I was very surprised. While being a cliched Summer Blockbuster and despite having a lot, and I mean ALOT of product placement, Audi and Converse must have shelled out a lot of money for production, I thought this was an intelligent and well written film worthy of anyones money.
Go see it, 5/5

I saw this when it first came out, and i really enjoyed it. I didnt think i would like it, but i was pleasantly surprised. One thing thats cool is that there are a lot of plot twists, but they're not obvious.
The special effects are phenomenal, as all the robots look real. It also had its fair share of humor, but not so much that it took away from the seriousness of the film.
I thought the plot twists were really well done too, In the cinema I had some bitch behind who was from the start making it clear for everyone she thought that Sunny was the murderer and that was that, that was the ending. She looked a prick at the end.
When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
Luke 21:20-28
I saw this back in the summer, for a summer flick it's pretty good. It's a fun movie that takes your mind off of your regular life for a few hours. But this is by far NOT Will Smiths best acting performances whomever said that is a moron. Go see Ali for one thing.
Bridget Moynihan is hot but you don't really see much of her hottness in the movie.
A few things could have been cut out for instance that whole teenage kid rebelling and Will Smith acting like a father figure was pretty lame. Also I guess in 2035 they don't have shower curtains.
As for the twists I actually thought the Professor faked his death and that the "villian" was actually a robot and the Professor was using him in some way.
