Craig says No to Bond?
Daniel Craig Denies Bond Rumours

British actor Daniel Craig has said he was not going to be the next James Bond, following a flurry of stories today claiming he had won the part reports The Statesman.

The Sun today claimed that Craig had been offered a three-film deal by producer Barbara Broccoli starting with the upcoming "Casino Royale". A spokeswoman for the star denied the reports but wouldn't comment further. Eon Productions, which makes the Bond movies, also refused to comment.

BBC News has been fed up with all the speculation and spoke with Eon directly, asking when in the world they will comment on this latest talk. Their official response - "We're waiting for our director [Martin Campbell] to finish the film he's currently working on [The Lgend of Zorro]. Then I'm sure we'll be commenting a lot on all sorts of things" said a spokesperson.

Brosnan has stated in several printed articles that he's moved on and is no longer interested even if they did ask him back (Which they won't. They want a "younger" Bond)

Plus, where will Casino Royale film?
April 08, 2005 - Big announcements on a new James Bond film usually take place at a major London hotel but MI6 claims Casino Royale will break with that tradition and make L.A. the spot.

According to MI6, "final decisions on the future of the James Bond role are being made this week in Los Angeles, USA. All of the movers and shakers in the franchise are in LA to iron out the final creases in the plan that will usher in 007 for Casino Royale. Big decisions are being finalized and news is sure to break soon."

So will it be oft-mentioned contenders Daniel Craig, Clive Owen or Julian McMahon? Or will Pierce Brosnan return?

The site also adds that "the production is heading outside the UK. As MI6 reported back in September last year, the Bond production team made scouting trips to the Czech Republic for potential locations. Prague was then rumoured as a potential base for the production of Casino Royale (then 'Bond 21'), rather than 007's traditional home of Pinewood Studios in the UK."

This wouldn't be the first major production Pinewood has lost for economic reasons. Paramount's Watchmen recently pulled up stakes and is looking for a new studio.

And I was a big fan of Chris O'Donnell but his career has totally hit a brick wall.

The Final 4 Bond Canidates
Word has broke that director Martin Campbell has narrowed the list of James Bond canidates down to four for the new Bond movie "Casino Royale". And surprise surprise, none of the previously mentioned people in the past are on it.

In my opinion, O'Lachlan and Visnjic are the two odds on favs but we shall see what the studio decides.
