Carl Barât's new band Dirty Pretty Things is spending their third week at the top of the NME Chart with "Bang Bang You're Dead".
The band fought off strong competition from The Kooks at Two with "Naïve" and a new entry from We Are Scientists at Three with "Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt".
Other new entries come from The Vines at Seven with "Gross Out" and Hot Chip at Nine with "Boy From School", reports MTV.co.uk.
"Bang Bang You're Dead" is the first single to be taken from Dirty Pretty Things' debut album "Waterloo To Anywhere", which is out on May 8.
In related news, Dirty Pretty Things celebrate the release of "Bang Bang You're Dead" with a performance at HMV's 150 Oxford Street store in London's West End on the release date of April 24.
The show starts at 6pm, after which the band will remain in the store to meet fans and sign copies of the new single.
Due to time restrictions, access to the signing session will be restricted. 400 wristbands will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis from the store at 9am on the day of the event. There will be one wristband per person.
