I hate action movies. The generic plot of good guy who is tough as nails crosses patsh with an evil nasty villain, who does something to upset the good guy by killing his wife or kidnapping his kid. Goodguy goes on a rampage killing villains henchmen, but during that he meets a beautiful woman and has sex with her.. then its time for the 'nailbiting' final conflict which sees the good guy getting beaten to an inch of his life then miraculously recovers and kills the villain.
Mind numbing stuff. No drama, no tension, no emotion. Just over the top gunfights which feature 74 people shooting at and missing one man.. who manages to take them all out in one clip of his gun.
Gotta be the romance movies. Unless it happens to be Punch Drunk Love.
Surprised to see the horror hate. I LOVE horror!
When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
Luke 21:20-28
I can't say I'm a fan of horror either. I hate movies that get cheap pops out of an audience with gore or out-of-nowhere really loud music/noise. I much prefer suspense.
I would say that I don't like action films, but I always find myself enjoying them when I catch one on TV, so I guess I do. I never go out to the theatres to see them however.
I like romance, I just hate Romantic Comedies. Those suck.
I actually change my vote to Romantic Comedy. Has anyone seen Love Actually? If you are about to I suggest suicide.
These are the kinda movies you get dragged into by a girlfriend with the agreement of great sex afterwards. Close your eyes and eat a lot of snacks, it's the only way to get through.
Love Actually wasn't that bad. It wasn't great, but it had it's moments I thought.
The only thing redeeming about it, in my opinion, was that it had a bunch of seperate characters and storylines. If it was all Hugh Grant, who I hate, I would've hung myself before it reached the end.
