Favorite Actor

I love lots of actors, but I usually home in on my following favourites when there are new movies out

Robert DeNiro
Harvey Keitel
Joe Pesci
Al Pacino

Regular choices I know, but the fact that most of their films are fantastic tends to sway my opinion

Johnny Depp's always been the one for me, even with his recent emergence as every young girl's dream lover.

I also enjoy Benicio Del Toro a lot.

Ohh Benicio, Highly underrated and often overlooked.

Johnny Depp is also a fave of mine along with Al Pacino, Kiefer Sutherland, Willem Dafoe, and probably others I can't think of at the moment.

I take it people are talking serious roles, not comedies?

Brad Pitt and DeNiro.

Johnny Depp usually takes roles that specifically have him be disfigured, or at least unattractive (Edward Scissorhands, for example), specifically to avoid this sort of thing. After 21 Jump Street, he was afraid of being typecast as a heartthrob, so he started doing that. Pretty good move on his part, I'd say, as he's become an excellent actor

I also like Brad Pitt a lot

3-way tie between Pacino, DeNiro, and Anthony Hopkins.

Kenneth Branagh isn't too bad either if you like those Shakespeare movies.

I'd have to say Dafoe, Denzel Washington or Tom Hanks. Hanks and Denzel have made some of the most memorable films to date. DeNiro would have made my list but he hasn;t made a good film since I hit puberty.

Johnny Depp is my favourite actor, I've seen Marlon Brando in one bad role, De Niro's been in quite a few, but everything I've ever seen Johnny Depp in hes been fantastic. You cant ask more from him in every role, and if you look at every role he does, its quite diverse and varied too.

I s'pose Depp really doesnt have an X factor- some of his roles lack a SPECIAL gift he brings to the character, but of course hes done some brilliant work. Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood was brilliantly done, George Hung in Blow was outstanding, and I dont think anyone could've done Jack Sparrow so well that they coulda turned a comedy performance into an Oscar nomination- thats Brando great right there.

I dont mind Depp being a heart-throb, at least I respect him instead of watching Keanu Reeves and Ashton Kooosher getting the attention. Depp is going to play the lead role in a remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Which is directed by TIM BURTON, score!) and hes also going to be playing Ozzy Osbourne in a bi-opic of his life- which, at the moment, is not a good idea. Maybe after The Osbournes goes away the movie might actually gain some credibility, but its gonna be MTV shiney. Ew.

My favourite performance by an actor is not going to be beaten anytime soon, pretty unknown at the time, Christopher Walken stole the show in the Deerhunter, opposite Robert de Niro and uh, the double oscar winner, Sophies Choice woman, damnit I never remember her name. Anyway, Walkens brilliant, and that was such a great performance. The Russian Roulette scene is the most fantastic scene I've ever known of, brilliant.
