Jimmy Page, who attended Led Zeppelin's UK Music Hall Of Fame induction ceremony at London's Alexandra Palace last night, mentioned plans to record some new material next year: "I'm going to start up in the New Year. It's an album that I need to get out of my system... there's a good album in there and it's ready to come out."
Also present for the induction were members of the Bonham family (Patricia and Deborah).
Wolfmother performed a tribute to Led Zeppelin at last night's ceremony, which also featured a Dusty Springfield tribute, courtesy of Patti Labelle. Brian Wilson and Joss Stone were also slated to perform. Artists that have previously been inducted include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix.

Jimmy's perhaps my favourite guitarist and is an utter legend in the music industry, so I'd never say no to hearing new material of his. I wouldn't really expect a masterpiece from the man as he's past his prime but all the same I'll still look forward to this new album.
As for Zeppelin getting inducted it's hardly a surprise to anyone, and was just a matter of time. Looking forward to hearing Wolfmother's tribute also.
