Plot Summary: Daniel Craig stars as "007" James Bond, the smoothest, sexiest, most lethal agent on Her Majesty's Secret Service in "Casino Royale." James Bond's first "007" mission leads him to Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), banker to the world's terrorists. In order to stop him, and bring down the terrorist network, Bond must beat Le Chiffre in a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale. Bond is initially annoyed when a beautiful British Treasury official, Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), is assigned to deliver his stake for the game and watch over the government's money. But, as Bond and Vesper survive a series of lethal attacks by Le Chiffre and his henchmen, a mutual attraction develops leading them both into further danger and events that will shape Bond's life forever.

Oh so it's like a precursor to the other movies? That's pretty cool. That actress is really pretty too, whoever she is.

I only ever saw the one with Halle Berrie, a long time ago. I think I was in grade 6. Maybe I will like them better now.

I've lost interest in this franchise many years ago, though it's sometimes interesting to see the first movie for any new Bond.

I'm hearing a hell of a lot of good things about this one though, and I'll probably see it at some stage.

Well...I saw it on Saturday and was really disappointed. One of the worst Bond movies I've ever saw. Craig can't really pull off the charm and wittyness in my opinion. And speaking of Bond's trademark wittyness, there was a distinct lack of it. I know the physical side was implemented in this film to show how Bond has evolved with time but for me Bond using brute force and hardly ever intelligence was another let-down.

There is also the fact there wasn't really a proper enemy but I don't want to ruin the story by going into that. The women were also disappointing and not up to the usual beautiful standards in my opinion (though that wasn't a great flaw for me).

And finally, it really felt like I was sitting there watching a poker match for half the film. I know it's playing up to the name but they really over-did that part of the film as it just went on and on...
