Necro Movie Recommendations

The 4400 Season 1 2004

My Opinion: This show really has me hooked. The first season was real good, and I liked how they started building up the story. This is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Definitly will be updating myself with the rest of the seasons.

Rating: :nine:

American Movie 1999

My Opinion: I really liked this documentary. It's a mix between weird, and even sad at points. Seeing someone who dreams about becoming a director fail so many times, and keep going is pretty inspiring. For me I'd probably give up after a few speed bumps, but this guy keeps going, even when everything seems to go wrong. I'd definitly recommend this movie to anyon who ever wanted to make a film, or anyone into documentaries.

Rating: :eight:

Beer League 2006

My Opinion: Even the Karate kid couldnt save this one. It was easily one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. I'm a huge Artie fan, but I cant recommend this movie to anyone. Terrible acting, terrible story, and overall seemed that there was no effort put into it. I just watched the entire movie, because I cant stand stopping one. Artie wasnt bad, but the supporting cast was seriously hurting. Anyway, like I said no one see this movie trust me.

Rating: :four:

Braveheart 1995

My Opinion: If you havent seen this movie before, you are insane. A top movie indeed, and honestly Mel Gibson has a great performance in this one. He maybe a little off his rocker in real life, but the man certainly knows how to make a movie. From the story, to the action this movie is incredible. I'm sure most of you know that already though.

Rating: :ten:

Clerks 2 2006

My Opinion: A great fucking movie. Saw this in theaters, and also on dvd. These movies have me cracking up from beginning to end, and this definitly was a stand out. I was sort of worried that it wouldnt live up to the hype, but it was the best showing in years. Rosario Dawson is insanely hot, and Kevin Smith movies are just kickass obviously. I recommend everyone to see this movie.

Rating: :nine:

Four Brothers 2005

My Opinion: Pretty good movie. I really liked this one. I'm a huge Mark Walberg fan, and the story was pretty decent. Overall I'd recommend this for most of the people.

Rating: :eight:

Friday The 13th: Part 5 1985

My Opinion: The story wasnt too bad in this one, and even the cast was okay. Overall though it was somewhat of a letdown. The kills were actually pretty decent, and plot was alright. I'd only suggest hardcore horror fans see this just to complete the series.

Rating: :four:

Friday The 13th: Part 6 1986

My Opinion: You could definitly tell that they realized that they dropped the ball on the previous movie. This one was a bit funny at times, and the plot was a little better. Had some good acting in it too. I was suprised how decent this movie was. I'd recommend to any horror fans.

Rating: :six:

Get Rich or Die Tryin 2005

My Opinion: Not the greatest acting in the world, but 50 Cent suprised me a bit in this role. He had some decent acting scenes, and wasnt the typical terrible rapper actor. The plot was a bit weak, and it was a little weird having a semi- biography type movie about you. I'd rather straight up biography or straight up made up. But I guess somethings werent that interesting so they had to spice it up a bit. The supporting cast was also pretty good. Overall this movie is worth watching if you are into urban movies, otherwise you should probably pass on it.

Rating: :six:

A History of Violence 2005

My Opinion: An excellent film. It was very hyped, but worth watching. The cast was great, especially Ed Harris. The plot was a little weak, and a little obvious at times. Overall though I recommend this movie.

Rating: :seven:

Hustle & Flow 2005

My Opinion: This was an alright movie, a lot of it was jumbled up in my opinion though. The plot was okay, but never really caught my attention. Terrence Dashon Howard is a pretty good actor, and within a day I watched him in this movie, and Get Rich or Die Tryin. Kind of weird cause both movies centered pretty much on the same concept. The movie didnt really grab me, if you a real big hip hop fan you might want to watch this, even then its a stretch to me.

Rating: :six:

Million Dollar Baby 2004

My Opinion: Well what more can you say about this movie, it was greatness. Everything put into it was beyond my expectations. Clint Eastwood is an amazing director. It's amazing how great he is at making a movie come to life. The acting in this was also great. Morgran Freeman, and Clint Eastwood are given great performances, but I'm a bit suprised by Hilary Swank. She never caught my eye before this film, but jeez she had a great performance. Overall one of my favorite movies lately.

Rating: :nine:

Munich 2005

My Opinion: a 3 hour movie, but overall was real good. I didnt even know all about the aftermath of the Munich attacks. Real cool as a history piece, and very interesting with the way things went on during the movie. At a few parts I thought it dragged, but hardly so. I would suggest everyone see this one, it's worth it.

Rating: :eight:

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge 1985

My Opinion: Said to be the worst in the series, I didnt mind it all too much. I would only recommend this to serious horror fans, or Freddy fans. I'm always a sucker for 80's horror movies though so I dont know if I can give too much of a honest opinion.

Rating: :five:

Private Parts 1997

My Opinion: I've seen this movie countless times, and recently watched it again on VHS. This is a pretty good movie, and if you are a Howard Stern fan it's a must view. I wouldn't mind them creating a new movie, that would be pretty sweet. If you arent into Howard too much, you might not like this movie. It's a pretty well done movie, but overall doesnt stand out too much. I'd recommend this again to only Howard Stern fans, a pretty good biography.

Rating: :seven:

Scary Movie 4 2006

My Opinion: With movies like this you have to take them for what they are worth. Sure it's not going to be a classic movie, but it certainly will be one you'll get a few laughs out of. I'm not sure if this moive is worth wasting money on a rental though. I'd only recommend it if you have netflix like myself, and can get it with a few other movies, so it doesnt seem like a waste of time, and money. I watched the whole thing, and it was a below average movie. I didnt mind it, didnt totally hate it.

Rating: :four:

Searching for Bobby Fischer 1993

My Opinion: This movie is a personal favorite of mine. I always enjoyed this movie, and just recently rewatched it after several years. Even at my current age, I still find the movie great. The cast also was real good. Laurence Fishburne is definitly a key actor, and shines in this role. I definitly would recommend this movie to anyone.

Rating: :eight:

Sin City 2005

My Opinion: The whole concept of this movie had me from the beginning. From the first time I heard of it I thought it would be great. Then seeing the cast I was like holy crap hopefully this isnt a letdown. So I watched it with medium expectations, and honestly really enjoyed the film as a whole. The story was good, acting was great, and the whole black and white, color filming of the movie really made this movie incredible. I really liked Bruce Willis in this movie, and Rosario Dawson is so fucking hot oh man. She is so smokin. Jessica Alba too holy shit. Both fuckin awsome. From what I'm hearing 2 & 3 will be filmed at the same time. I hope thats truth!

Rating: :eight:

Snatch 2000

My Opinion: It got off to a very slow start. I was confused at first, but after awhile I started to get into it. The movie as a whole wasnt that great, but had some decent parts in it. I'll usually watch anything English though so thats probably why I stuck through this one. After watching I wasnt as annoyed as I was in the beginning. It came out alright, but I dont know if I'd recommend it to anyone. There are some good one liners in here, but not worth getting IMO.

Rating: :six:

Spellbound 2002

My Opinion: I was really into this movie, although I have a feeling most wouldnt be. It's a documentary about eight spelling champions on their way to the nationals. For the most part I doubt many would be too thrilled about watching this one. I on the other hand found it pretty interesting, and enjoyed it. I only recommend this if you are into documentaries, and some what geeky type material.

Rating: :seven:

Stick It 2006

My Opinion: This is a total chick flick, and I sat there and watched the whole thing. Normally this shit puts me to sleep, but I really liked this movie. The acting was actually very good, and I enjoyed Vanessa Lengies. She's fucking smoking. Anyway, overall this movie was pretty good, much better than I'd ever expect.

Rating: :seven:

Thank You for Smoking 2005

My Opinion: I had no idea what this movie was at first. I actually thought it was going to be a documentary, but it turned out to be a comedy. Kind of funny. Anyway, the acting was real good, and for most of the movie I was laughin at the great lines. They had a few big actors in this like Katie Holmes, and Robert Duvall. Both put on good performances. My favorite line in the movie is hearing Katie Holmes saying "I want to fuck you so bad." I dont know for some reason I always found her hot in a weird way.

Rating: :seven:

Waiting... 2005

My Opinion: Okay first off Ryan Reynolds is in it, who happens to be a kickass actor. The movie itself was real good. It was funny as hell, and had some good actors in it. They sort of focused too much on a particular joke which you'd pull down your pants, and if a guy looked at your balls he'd get kicked in the ass. Sure that sounds confusing, considering I havent yet explained to you its a movie set in a restaraunt, and thats how they joke around with each other. Weird, but it's whatever. No real plot to speak of really, but it didnt need an indepth one. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone. It's funny as hell.

Rating: :seven:

Walmart: The High Cost Of Low Price 2005

My Opinion: This was a pretty good documentary on how Walmart is pretty fucked up. It wasnt perfectly put together, but it did the job of showing some good points. The movie seemed slanted in some parts, and they could have definitly done a way better job, in getting their points across. Overall, I'd like to say fuck you to Walmart, and I'd only recommend this to people who are into documentaries.

Good stuff. I liked Snatch a lot more then you did. I just thought it was hilarious. There are a lot of people who don't get the humour in this movie, not saying that you didn't, but there are quite a few points that crack me up. My buddies and I have watched this about 5 or 6 times.

I'd recommend Boondock Saints if you've never seen that. It takes place in Boston, fantastic film. Another one my buddies and I have seen multiple times recently.

Braveheart was a classic no doubt, but I can only watch it once in a while.. It's just one of those movies I need to give time before I sit there again.

I haven't seen A History of Violence yet in full, I always miss a good chunk of it, but I've heard that there is something that lies beneath the surface of the plot. What I mean is, the plot is pretty simple at 1st glance, but there's something more to what the director is trying to convey... I just haven't gotten into it much to look that deep.

yeah with my snatch review its more so I didnt want to mislead some people. I actually liked a ton of stuff from it. Brad Pitt in particular was funny as hell. Also, all the different poeple they had were great.

I'll be updating daily with reviews, it will also be a record of what I've been watching. I'm weird like that. Boondock Saints I have on my netflix. I also have about 30 movies ahead of it, so I'll eventually get to it...

I liked Four Brothers also but I hated the ending. I thought it ws kinda weak how they went about it. Still a cool movie though.
