Is this true about the show Lost?

Funny you should ask, because I have the inside scoop. Although this may upset some people, all animals shown as being harmed are actually harmed in real life. A controversial decision, sure, but the producers decided that the "life or death stakes" of LOST required complete honesty in the storytelling. For instance, only an actual boar hunt could produce the sort of dramatic tension needed for television's no. 1 mystery/drama. And yes, the tree frog was actually crushed in Sawyer's palm. But by far the most controversial decision was bringing an actual polar bear -- an endangered species -- to Hawaii to be shot. Actually, two polar bears were needed. The first shots of Sawyer killing the polar bear were not deemed sufficiently terrifying, so a second polar bear was brought in to be killed. The final shot involved splices of both bears being shot. No CGI was used at all. So, yes, some of the things on LOST are real.

The car chases are real, too.

How many car chases have you seen on Lost? Maybe 1 or 2 in flashback sequences, but not nearly enough that they need to add that to the article.

They wouldent kill off a Endangered species for a TV show...No question about it.

For one thing, if they killed off an endangered species, the producers would be arrested and tried under animal cruelty law, and for another, no studio executive would ever be stupid enough to green light something that would cause such a furious backlash from the animal welfare community. It'd be career suicide.

No way in hell would they even think of doin that, not only would they all be in cuffs, most of the cast and crew would walk off set guarenteed! There wouldn't be a show if that happened.
