Socialite Paris Hilton was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning on suspicion of drunk driving.

The aspiring pop star, 25, was pulled over by police in Hollywood around 12:30am PT, officer I. Isabella confirms.

Isabella claims Hilton was stopped because she was "driving erratically" in her Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

A police statement reads, "The officers observed that Hilton exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. A field sobriety test was conducted at the scene, and the officers determined she was driving under the influence."

Hilton was on her way home from a charity event when the arrest took place.

Her spokesman Elliott Mintz admits the reality TV star was arrested, but insists she only drank one margarita cocktail.

Mintz says, "She's absolutely fine. She didn't appear in the least bit to be intoxicated."

Mintz claims Hilton was tired after spending the day filming her new music video, adding, "The arrest was probably the result of an empty stomach and working all day and being fatigued."

Hilton was picked up from a police station by Mintz, her sister Nicky and her boyfriend, actor Kevin Connolly, after being booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence (DUI).

Looks like a normal night in her life to me. Pinned against a wall with two guys and starting to bend over with a line of four guys behind her. You sure these are not just preview pictures of her next sex tape?

But seriously it takes four cops to arrest her? And yet you go and look at the 50Cent pictures and it looks like there are only two making the arrest but hard to tell since there is such a large crowd and the cops are not in uniform. Is she really much more of a threat than him?

lol the caption on the site i got it from goes "i bet this isnt the first time shes been handcuffed by 4 guys" lol. Yea 50 cent only got arrested by 2 undercovers i think. That is pathetic they needed 4 to arrest her. She probably got arrested in some small town like where i live where nothing goes on so it was a big deal. Like where i live if you read the police blotter they arrest 1 guy and its always at least 3 cops that made the arrest then if it 2 people arrested its like 5 or 6 lol.
