On July 31, 2006, Warner Bros. announced that the sequel to Batman Begins would be titled The Dark Knight. Christopher Nolan, who directed Batman Begins, is slated to return at the helm. The screenplay will be scripted by his brother Jonathan Nolan, based on a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman for the sequel. With the release of The Dark Knight, Bale will become only the second actor to have portrayed Bruce Wayne / Batman in more than one motion picture (Michael Keaton being the other). The studio announced that Heath Ledger will portray the Joker in the sequel, and screenwriter Goyer has said the character Harvey Dent will be also a major character.The film is slated for release in 2008.

he is a good actor. Give it a chance. He has done plenty more movies then playing a gay cowboy.

Well he's a good actor and I think he will be a good Joker. Never seen that one movie he's in and never will. So I don't see him like that.lol But i think he will be ok Joker.
