I saw it last night. I thought it was a good movie overall. But the series is mimicking some other series like Star Wars in which the second movie ends in a down swing. I am still looking forward to the third though.

It was good, tho' I was very skeptickle about even seeing the first one:I'm not a big fan of Pirates. Johnny Depp is Hifuckinglarious!

They do that on purpose when a third movie is already in the works...

It's designed to make you come back to see what happens.

Both Star Wars and the Matrix films were all planned out as is Pirates 2 and 3 so they allow for that little extra UMPH in part 2 to get you back to see how the resolution comes about.

It's a sign of good storytelling, although with the Matrix films IMO it turned out crappy.
