Friday the 13th Part 2 in 3-D?

Why wait for a third chapter in Platinum Dunes' reboot of the Friday the 13th to explore 3-D when you can do it for "Part 2"?
Box Office Mojo is listing next year's Friday the 13th Part 2 as being in 3-D. Under the Paramount regime, Jason Voorhees did his killin' in 3-D in Friday the 13th: Part 3 in 1982.
This is what PD's Brad Fuller tells us, "I can't tell you anything about 3-D because New Line has not green lighted the movie because we haven't completed the script. So, we are waiting for the script to come in - then they'll budget- then they'll make a decision about 3-D. Having said that I really hope that is they decide that make it in 3-D."
The Platinum Dunes-produced sequel, if all goes well, is due on August 13, 2010.
Jeez just another way to make a few more bucks. Whatever, I'll watch it regardless, but jeez.

They're just making anything 3-D now and it is like the 80s all over again.

The main problem with 3D is that it's a fad. Once this fad ends, you're going to be dating the movie horribly. Instead of going for fads, I would much rather the F13th series goes for something different. The rumor of the winter based entry in the series made me far more excited than this news.

I'm really not a fan of 3D at all. Yes, it's cool. But I think it takes away from the actuall story. But hell, no one goes to Friday the 13th for the story anyway.

I would probably be into this more if I could actually see the movies in 3-D. Damn fucked up eyes. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
