I just finished watching the first episode of the new season. Solid enough start with some nice potential for a fun season.
John Lithgow on Dexter is just fantastic. The Trinity Killer looks as if he could be the best killer in the show's history. I'm pleased to see Special Agent Lundy back. I imagine he will have a big year this season. The car accident at the end was predictable, but could add a new twist if Dexter is laid out for a bit.

I really enjoyed the second episode. The Trinity Killer is just a total badass. Dexter is going to eventually fuck up bigger than just losing the body. Thinking about the books, I really wish the TV series would do something with the kids. They could be played by cardboard cut outs and it wouldn't make a difference.

Yeah, I definitely think now that the ball is rolling we will have a lot more interesting episodes. I'm just kind of sick of them always playing with the idea of Dexter being caught. I mean, last season we had him confide in someone all his secrets. The season before that his work was actually on display. The first season was the only season that didn't involved a lot of focus on him getting caught. It was mainly the story between him and the Ice truck killer. I hope this season ends up being more focused on him and Trinity then anything else. I know that the thought of him being caught will always be there, but it shouldn't be the main focus season after season.

This week's episode was a bit disappointing, though as Nicky said above, it was refreshing to get a break from Dexter constantly worrying about getting caught.
They kind of ruined that at the end though, lulz.
There were some good bits though. I'm enjoying Deb's character (shocking, as I find her dreadfully annoying most of the time) and intrigued by the stuff going on with Quinn. I was lol'ing hard at Masuka's truck.

I enjoyed how this week ended, but then again I've always been a fan of his relationship with Rita and how complex it has been for him to fit in and adjust. He is lacking in the killing department this season but I think we will see a lot more relationship drama. Which I really don't mind, so many stories and things going on it is always an interesting show.

I'm actually just baffled by this season so far. I've seen these past couple episodes, and the upcoming one, as just ways to get an REALLY extended backstory out and build relationships.
Last episode was intruiging towards the end. I'm curious towards next episode because I think it's the first time Dexter kills since Benny Gomez.

I'm guessing it was Trinity. But Anton would make sense also. Although I think Anton is a much nicer guy and wouldn't be smart to make it look like a shot and rob kind of deal. It also wouldn't match his character if we remember back a season when he was getting skinned alive.
I enjoyed Dexter's victim this time. Good story on why he choose her and how it tied into everything. But the ending was such a shock I can't even remember most of what happened.

Holy fuck balls, what a great episode! I thought the ending would just be the typical Anton watching from his car, but wow, that came as a complete shock. The stuff with Dex and Zooey was great as well. Can't wait for next week.
