The Hollywood Reporter says that the Wayans Brothers and Sony are developing a sequel to the 2004 comedy White Chicks, which will see Marlon and Shawn Wayans reprise their roles as sibling FBI agents posing as a pair of white ladies.
Keenen Ivory Wayans is on board to direct the sequel, which all three Wayans are writing. The logline for the new entry is being kept under wraps.
The original grossed almost $70 million domestically from a budget of around $37 million.
Wow someone please make it stop.
Al though if it made good money, you might as well do it again. Milk it for all it's worth. But honestly hated the first one.

They keep getting the green light because these movies keep making money. I'm surprised the original cost $37m, to be honest. My guess is that a lot of that went into advertising.
They've hit a pretty basic formula - make the movie cheap with a few "names", advertise the hell out of it, and its almost sure to turn a profit. Which then allows you get the next project green-lit, be it a sequel or another formula comedy.

Pretty much why those Saw movies are still around. Low as hell budget, and makes a great profit.

I only liked the first one the first time I saw it. Didn't like it any other times I watched it after the initial viewing. Not looking forward to this one at all. Now that I look back, the first movie was pretty bad.
