Summit Entertainment will film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse from August 17th until October 31st at Vancouver Film Studios. David Slade (30 Days of Night) will direct from a script by Melissa Rosenberg.

In the third installment of the franchise, coming to theaters on June 30, 2010, Bella (Kristen Stewart) once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her friendship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

The second film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, hits theaters on November 20 and was directed by Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass).

They kind of have to. The vampires can't look as if they're growing and the entire series of the books only takes place within a couple of years.

i really never saw the appeal of these. My sister is obsessed with the books, but i really dont get it. Plus how many Vampire vs. Werewolf movies do we need in a lifetime?

plus eclipse couldnt come out novemr 2010 beacuse the first half of harry pott er and the deatlhy hallows ocmes out then i odnt care what its idiodic fans say it owuld have had in the words of vince no chance in hell

How? Each book has a different feel to it.

To an extent yeah. But every director is going to have a different vision and to me that just won't go well with the way they are going to portray the actors. I know what I want to say I just can't get it from my brain to my fingers. <.<

How is it any different from a TV show? TV shows has many different directors for the episodes, yet each episode has the characters acting the same as they did before.
