1. River Phoenix - How could he not be first on anyone's list?
2. Brandon Lee - His career was going to pick up 10 fold after The Crow
3. Heath Ledger - Brilliant actor in everything he did
4. John Belushi - Great comedic actor who did everything in excess
5. Heather O'Rourke - Who knew how her acting career would've taken off after Poltergeist
There are so many more to try to narrow it down to five but I managed.
Not to be too morbid, but dying soon helps a lot of actors. It preserves their aura and people remember their good films. A lot of the actors listed would probably have gone on to do some right shit. As it stand people remember how good an actor like John Belushi was in Animal House & The Blue Brothers. If he'd been alive now he might've fallen off the radar a bit like Dan Akyroyd has.

I guess but they may have gone on to do a lot more great stuff too. A lot of the most respected actors have a great body of work spanning decades. That has been denied these actors who die young.
Although The Dark Knight was an amazing way for Ledger to go out. He has an epic aura now.
