X-Men: The Last Stand Review by Nicky Santoro

Spoilers!!!!!!!....

I liked the film and I'm not sure why everyone is down on the character deaths. They aren't dead. They'll be back as you saw with Xavier and we never really saw Cyclops die or maybe I missed that part.. We didn't see him explode or whatever it's called that Phoenix does to people and objects.

I thought McKellen and Grammer were excellent in their respecitive roles as Magneto and Beast and for all the shit Jackman gets from people, he's one bad ass Wolverine, I swear. The movie itself left a lot to be desired but I think that's a good thing. Things such as the introduction of Gambit I'd like to see done in a more significant way then a little cameo. Lets face it, it's hard to introduce too many characters and keep the pace of the film. I wasn't pissed about the lack of involvement from Angel because I think the character sucks, always have.

I loved the action sequences, those were brilliant. Everything from the moving of the bridge to the final battle scenes with Pyro/Iceman, Callisto/Storm, etc.. were awesome. I also loved the heartbreaking scene where Wolverine has to off Jean Grey; it was done very well. I like Kitty Pryde also.. or maybe I should say the actress who plays her. She's very cute, reminded me of Erin

It was a nice touch to see Professor X come back at the end of the credits leaving the door open for a 4th installment, which I believe will happen. This franchise is just too big and makes too much money not to continue. Also, have to love Magneto showing signs of an imperfect cure.

I'd give this film a very good score of 4.3 out of 5.0

I enjoyed the movie, but felt it didn't live up to the second film. Still, it was a good watch, although I was a little disappointed that Nightcrawler wasn't in it. I'm pretty sure that recently, a newspaper had an article on the film, and had little individual character pictures, and one was Nightcrawler. I guess there's a two blue character quotia, and when they fill it, they don't feel like putting another in.

Also, it should be noted that all the Geek Boys in the audience were identified early in the film, when they all said "Stan Lee" at a rather loud volume when he appeared on screen.

I am not ashamed to say I was one of them.

Chris Claremont was there also.

I'll bet most of you didn't see him!

He was listed as "Lawnmower Man" on the credits.

He was the neighbor who had his lawn mower lifted in the air by young Jean.

P.S. For those of you who don't know who he is...he wrote the X-Men Comics for years and is responsbile for some of their best stories.

For me, I watched this movie and it shut off before the credits roled (so please fill me in) but I thought this movie was pretty badass. I read most of the XMen Comics as a youth and was always into the whole Jean Grey/Phoenix Wolverine mess. It was well written and still is on the big screen.

The little touch of Magneto sitting in the park moving the chess piece was obvious but SOOOO necessary. You can't keep Magneto down, that was his whole gimmick. He IS unstoppable. He can be taken out for a while, but never permanently (unless he is dead in todays XMen haha)

I couldnt imagine anyone but Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine. He is absolutely PERFECT in that role. Its almost as if Wolverine was made for him, which we all know it wasnt. Although Wolverine in the comics was much more ruthless, but you can't be making it an R Rated movie either.

Perfect.

When you see Storm and not Halle Barry, Jean Grey and not Famke etc etc you know its a good flick.

Overall, they could put out 15 of these and I would probably love every single one of them.

Also, big ups to Kelsey Grammar who NAILED Beast.
