The Expendables cast is already a who's who of action stars past and present, and now they've scored perhaps the biggest of them all. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be playing himself in the movie, filming for just one day for what seems like a cameo role. AICN reported the news from a reputable source, who says that the Governor and Sylvester Stallone's character apparently have a history together.
For those keeping score, that brings the cast to include Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Mickey Rourke. Unfortunately Ben Kingsley is no longer taking part, acording to AICN, but the always-reliable Eric Roberts will be taking his place. The all-star cast here is already elevating expectations, from a typical low-rent Sly Stallone action movie to something possibly spectacular. Hey, if it was good enough to get Arnold on board, it might be good enough for the rest of us.

The Governator joining in on the fun. Too bad he can't be in it fully.
