Timur Bekmambetov is proving himself to be better than pretty much any other action director at taking completely loony concepts and making them amazing. So while the notion of Days Before, "an alien invasion time travel" movie, would make me worry with any other director, for Bekmambetov it sounds just right.
Even better: According to Production Weekly, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Downey Jr. are interested in starring. It's kind of like when you were a kid and ice cream and gummy worms were your favorite thing, and then you put them together and didn't necessarily expect it to work, but somehow it did. If these project shakes out-- and given the success of Wanted, it's hard to imagine Bekmambetov getting turned down for pretty much anything. If anyone can bring together Iron Man and June Carter Cash, it'll be this guy.

Anything with Downey Jr. attached I will give a chance.
