'Lost' sure can spin 'em off
The list of Lost spinoffs continues to grow. Now that we've had book tie-ins and an online interactive game, those kooky castaways are set to step out into the world of a fullblown videogame and ... action figures?
Ubisoft, makers of the Resident Evil and Splinter Cell games, is teaming up with ABC to make a Lost game available for various gaming platforms next year, Zap2It.com reports.
McFarlane Toys, which produces the highly successful Spawn line of action figures, is getting set to release a Lost range of figures including Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer, later this year.
And an update on the already-announced Lost mobisodes, according to SCI FI Wire: The Lost Diaries will now feature the actual stars of the show instead of "peripheral" characters from among the non-featured castaways.
Apparently the production company managed to work out a deal with ABC under which members of the main cast will be in the short, direct-to-mobile-phone episodes.
As if the ongoing weekly trials and tribulations of Doctor Jack and gang weren't enough to draw us in, it now looks like we'll never be able to leave the quirky universe of Lost.
