I've read a couple of review for X3 which were mixed between it being medicore and bad.

I will reserve judgement until I see the finished product though.

The only time I listen to critics is when the response is the same from every single one of them.

Still I usually go and see the film any way so....haha

That is a superb poster. I saw the trailer for both this and X3 at the cinema on monday, and I thought both looked pretty cool. It was the first my brother had seen of Superman, and I know he was dubious when he heard about it, but he really liked how the look of Clark was similar to how Reeves played him.

I just think it's going to need quite a bit of backstory, considering it's a sequel, but so far removed from the others. Is it supposed to continue from S2, or S3? I seem to remember reading that they were treating S3 like it never existed.

Yes...in terms of where this movie begins it is said to start two years after Superman 2.

They are indeed trying to act like Superman 3 & 4 didn't happen.
