05/31/2006 Adrenaline Rush Template

The start of NGW Adrenaline Rush is announced, not by the customary pyrotechnics, but by a view of a dark board room. A large oak table dominates the room, behind which a dozen dark figures can be seen, over which a single figure presides, at the end of the table. Suddenly, General Manager Shane McMahon steps in, his back to the camera, and faces the NGW Board of Directors.

Shane: “Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for meeting me here tonight. I am sure you all know why I asked you to meet here, so let us get straight to the point. Eric Bischoff.”

Shane pauses, appearing to mull over his choice of words, and a few boo’s can be heard from the crowd.

Shane: “The man is, quite frankly, a cancer on NGW. He brings nothing good to the federation, and since I bought out Uprising, he has become violent, instigating attacks on my NGW superstars.”

At this one of the NGW Board members coughed, cutting Shane off. Still leaning back in his seat, the Board member speaks up.

Board Member: “What evidence do you have of this?”

Shane: “I believe it was quite obvious he was behind the attack of Edge and Raven two weeks ago, as well as the attack on Edge last week.”

The Board Member at the end of the table leans forward, his face still in shadow, and speaks.

Board CEO: “I will admit that it was suspicious, but your evidence is completely circumstantial, and could not be used to terminate his contract.”

Shane: “Then, surely the plummeting ratings must be evidence enough!”

The first board member once again coughs to cut Shane off, before speaking.

Board Member: “Actually, ratings have been up since Eric has been on Adrenaline Rush, the viewers seem to think of him as an enigma, and wish to see what he will do next.”

Board CEO “Mr. McMahon, if that is all you have to say, then you may go, and we will reach you with our decision shortly.”

For a moment, Shane looks like he will begin yelling, but he masters the impulse and gives a short nod before turning and walking out of the board room.

Dwayne Johnson vs. Chris Jericho

As the camera returns to the ring, the match between Chris Jericho and Dwayne Johnson is about to begin. The bell rings, and Chris Jericho is quick to attack, with a series of punches sending Dwayne into the ropes. Quick Irish Whip by Jericho is reversed, as Jericho runs into Dwayne’s knee, sending him crashing to the mat. Jericho snaps back to his feet, but Johnson catches him with a clothesline. Jericho gets to his feet, only to be put down by another clothesline. Jericho once again gets to his feet, and is backed into the rope by Johnson, who whips him into the opposite ropes. Dwayne bends over mid-ring, but Jericho catches him with a hard kick to the chest. As Johnson A few stomps by Dwayne Johnson sends Jericho rolling out of the ring, Dwayne in hot pursuit. 1… As the ref begins his count, Dwayne hits a clubbing blow to Jericho’s neck, send Jericho careening into the Announce table. 2… Mike Tenay and the Coach run for cover. 3… Dwayne Johnson begins to drive Jericho’s face into the table, before tossing him to the ground. 4… Jericho scrambles to his feet, Dwayne once again hot on his tail. 5… Dwayne grabs the back of Jericho’s head, spinning him on his heel. 6… Jericho quickly rakes the eye of Dwayne, sending him reeling. 7… Jericho goes on the offensive, nailing a hard kick into Dwayne’s stomach. 8… Jericho stumbles to the ring, leaving a doubled-over Dwayne in his wake. 9… Dwayne quickly recovers, desperately leaping at Jericho’s ankle and latching on. 10! The referee signal for the bell, as a stunned Jericho looks down at the prone form of Dwayne Johnson gripping his ankle.

Winner: Double Count-Out

A furious Chris Jericho begins to stomp away at Dwayne Johnson, pummeling every inch of body within reach of his free boot. Johnson’s grip slackens, and Jericho rips his foot away, stomping over to the Ring Announcer and ripping his chair from under him. But before Jericho can attack Dwayne with the chair, a familiar tune hits.

“I’m back! And I’m better than ever…”

Eric Bischoff, acting General Manager with Shane McMahon out of town, steps out onto the stage, microphone in hand, a looking near a fit of rage.

Bischoff: “Stop right there, Jericho! It has become obvious that you two just couldn’t settle this tonight, I’ve decided to make a rematch!”

The crowd cheers a chance to see another match between Chris Jericho and Dwayne Johnson.

Bischoff: “And, since you two impressed me tonight, I’ve to add a bit of… incentive. You see, the winner of your rematch will be given a shot at the Trans-Atlantic Championship.”

Bischoff turns on his heel and begins walking back to the backstage area, when he stops, and lifts the microphone back up to his lips.

Bischoff: “Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention. Your rematch is this Sunday, at Masters of War.”

The crowd explodes into cheers as Adrenaline Rush goes to commercial.

Tornado Tag Match
Randy Savage & Scott Hall vs. CM Punk & Kane

Back to Adrenaline Rush, as the Tornade Tag match begins, the four men went at each others throats very quickly. Scott Hall and Randy Savage delivered some harsh double suplexes to CM Punk. Kane began to work on Savage, while Scott Hall was punishing the arm of CM Punk with an armbar submission move. CM Punk was close to tapping, but Kane came to the rescue and smashed the back of Halls head with a damaging blow. Savage ran over and shockingly pulled Kane over his head, and delivered an astonishing military press, kane's body shook the ring as he crashed to the canvas. Then, Savage and Hall looked at each other and prepared their opponents for their finishing moves. After Hall delivered the Razors edge, CM Punk crashed to the ring, practically knocked out. And Savage quickly climed to the top turnbuckle, and elbow smashed Kane. They pinned their opponents a the same time, the ref went for the cover.. 1....2....3! Randy Savage and Scott Hall have won the tornado tag team match.

Mankind & Carlito vs. Jeff Hardy & Rob Van Dam

Mankind started out this match against Jeff Hardy, each man trying to punch each other forcefully. Jeff Hardy quickly tagged in RVD, who hit Mankind with a brutal enseguri kick to the face. RVD with the quick cover on Mankind..1..2.. kickout. Mankind drags himself to his corner and brings Carlito into the match. At the same time, RVD tags Jeff Hardy back in. Carlito grabs Jeff Hardy and delivers a back-suplex, taking Hardy to the canvas. Carlito starts working on the left leg of Hardy, putting him in a devastating submission manuever. Jeff Hardy's face begins to show a look of pain, he's forcing himself not to tap. Suddenly, RVD sprints into the ring, the ref begins to count. He kicks Carlito, and breaks the submission. Mankind looks happy when this happens, much to the dismay of Carlito. Jeff Hardy regains strength, and limps over to Carlito and kicks him to the ground. He delivers some legdrops to the throat area of Carlito, and goes for the cover.. 1.. a quick kickout by Carlito. Carlito runs over and tags in Mankind. Mankind and Jeff Hardy lock up, but its obvious that they aren't trying to do too much damage to each other. Mankind pushes Jeff Hardy, and Hardy pushes him back. Suddenly, Mankind delivers a lethal D.D.T to Jeff Hardy, he falls to the canvas of the ring. Mankind points to Carlito, as if he's had a change of heart. He tags in Carlito, and he goes for the cover on Jeff Hardy.. 1...2......Right before Carlito picks up the win, Mankind runs back in the ring, and delivers another D.D.T to Carlito, and runs off towards the backstage area. Jeff Hardy gets up, runs to RVD, and tags him in. RVD climbs to the top turnbuckle, and frog splashes Carlito. He goes for the cover..1...2.....3! Jeff Hardy and RVD have won the tag team match, with Mankind betraying his partner, Carlito.

Winners: Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam

Trish Stratus & Mr. Perfect vs. Raven & Christian Cage

Christian Cage and Mr. Perfect start the match off with a stare down. Perfect slaps Cage in the face, then spits his gum out and smacks it at Cage, followed by pounding on his back. He wrestles Cage down to the floor and starts slapping his head. Perfect gets up and taunts Cage. Christian gets to his feet and tackles Mr. Perfect, punching him in the head a few times. Cage gets up and let's out a scream to show his rage that came from the cheap shot that Perfect hit on him. Christian tags in Raven and goes onto the apron. Raven gets in and heads straight for Perfect, who is hanging on the ropes trying to get to his feet. Trish blind tags herself in and gets into the ring. Raven and Trish go head to head. Trish runs against the ropes and gets a powerslam by Raven. Raven picks her up by the hair and slams her head into the turnbuckle a few times, but Trish blocks the last one and elbows Raven in the gut. Trish punches Raven in the face a few times before throwing him into the turnbuckle where Mr. Perfect is standing. She tags in Mr. Perfect and the two of them throw Raven against the ropes, and hit a double hip toss on Raven. Trish leaves the ring to go to the apron as Mr. Perfect takes control. Mr. Perfect hits a DDT on Raven before trying for a pin, to only get a 2 count. Raven gets up and hits a running knee on Mr. Perfect, who was yelling at the ref for a slow count. Raven falls to his knees and tags in Cage, who picks up Mr. Perfect and throws him against the ropes, but gets kicked in the face for his efforts. Mr. Perfect runs back to the corner and tags in Trish, who climbs the top rope and hits a crossbody on Christian for a 2 count. Trish gets upset with the ref, when the NWO come running down to the ring. Mr. Perfect distracts the ref, as Bobby Lashley and Randy Savage jump Raven. Scott Hall is in the ring, with a chair, and hits Christian Cage right between the eyes. The NWO runs through the crowd after the attack. Trish picks Christian up and hits a Stratisfaction. Mr. Perfect gets tagged in and hits a Perfect Plex on Cage, then falls on Cage for a pin. 1....2....3!

Winners: Mr. Perfect and Trish Stratus!

We go to the announce table where The Coach and Mike Tenay are about to run down the ppv card for Masters of War.

Mike Tenay: "Ladies and gentlemen, we are just a few days from NGW's second ppv, Masters of War. Last month at King of Kings, we changed the face of professional wrestling and this month, we plan on doing the same. I turn to my broadcast collage, The Coach, to run down the first match."

The Coach: "Woah baby, I cannot wait for this Sunday. It will be the "Highlight of the Night" Chris Jericho vs. the man formally known as the "Rock", Dwayne Johnson. There will be so much on the line for these two as the winner will become the new Number One Contender to the NGW Trans-Atlantic Championship."

Mike Tenay: "Speaking of the Trans-Atlantic Championship, who will walk out of Masters of War as the champ? It was two weeks ago that Christian won a four man battle royal to be crowned the Trans-Atlantic champ. Since then, Trish has been walking around with a replica of the title saying she is the rightful champ. Well, now these two will fight it out to determine who is the true champion. And to shake things up a bit, we were just informed a few minutes ago that both titles will hang above the ring and the only way to win the match is to climb up the ladder and retrieve both titles."

The Coach: "Things are not looking good for Carlito. His original tag team partner for this match, Mankind, has turned his back on Carlito and has joined RVD and Jeff Hardy. Now it will be a three on one handicapp match pitting all three members of 2-The-Extreme against Carlito. But if Carlito is able to pick up the win, he will walk out of Masters of War with the tag team titles. Can Carlito overcome the odds or will 2-The-Extreme continue their undefeated streak?"

Coach stops talking and presses his earpiece closer to his ear.

The Coach: "Well, I just recieved word from Shane McMahon of two new matches added to the ppv card. It will be Bobby Lashley taking on both Scott Hall and Randy Savage of the NWO. Also, it will be Mr. Perfect versus the sadistic one, Raven. Woah baby, Masters of War keeps getting better and better."

Mike Tenay: "And what could possibly become one of the greatest matches of all time. It will be the NGW International Champion, Edge, taking on the NGW World Champion, Randy Orton. And to make things equal for both men, Eric Bischoff has informed us that both titles will be on the line. Which means that whoever wins this matchup will become both the International champion and the World champion. Edge defeated Raven two weeks ago to become the number one contender to the World title and then last week in a non-title matchup, he defeated Randy Orton, ending Orton's undefeated winning streak. The odds do not seem too good for the World champ, but Orton is up for the fight. Since the beginning of NGW, Orton has been a fighting champion and has always overcomed the odds. Will it be Randy Orton or Edge that walks out with both titles, thus becoming the Undisputed Champion? Tune in this Sunday, as NGW proudly brings to you, Masters of War."

You're Fired Match
Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle

With their careers in NGW on the line, these two superstars have given it all so far in this matchup. Angle has focused heavily on the ankle of Orton throughout the matchup while Orton has been picking away at several different areas of Angle. After exchanging blow after blow, Orton hits a quick arm drag on Angle and holds onto the arm of Angle while streching it back. Angle counters the submission with an arm lock of his own but Orton quickly gets out of it. Orton goes for a scoop slam but Angle reverses the move attempt into a pinning situation. 1........2...Orton kicks out. Angle goes for another quick pin attempt. 1....Orton quickly kicks out. Orton hits Angle with an uppercut and delivers a hard forearm shot to Angle's head. Angle bounces off the rope and Orton connects with a powerslam. Orton hooks the leg. 1....2...Angle gets the shoulder up. Orton picks up Angle but Angle spins Orton around and connects with a huge German Suplex. Angle gets into position and stalks Orton as Orton begins to get back up. Orton gets to his feet and Angle goes for the Angle Slam. Angle has Orton in the air but Orton flips out of the move. Orton grabs the head of Angle and bends him back, driving Angle's back down onto the back of Orton. Orton goes for the pin but Angle quickly grabs the ankle of Orton and locks on the Angle Lock. Orton is screaming in pain as Kurt Angle screams at Orton to tap. Orton slowly makes his way to the ropes and is able to grab ahold of the bottom rope. The referee makes it to a count of four before Angle lets go of the ankle. Angle takes off his straps and gets in position for another Angle Slam. Orton is up and Angle hooks Orton's arm over his head. Angle lifts Orton up but Orton reverses and hits a huge RKO out of nowhere! Angle is motionless on the mat and Orton crawls on top of Angle. 1..........2.........3. It's over! Angle is now fired from NGW!

Winner: Randy Orton

Orton grabs his NGW World title and places it on his shoulder. He then climbs onto the turnbuckle and raises his hands in victory. Angle is back to his feet and can't believe he lost the match. The referee tells Angle he must now leave the arena. Angle makes his way up the ramp while the crowd begins to chant "Nah, nah, nah, nah. Hey, hey, hey. Goodbye".

Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero

Edge and Eddie face off, into a tie up. Edge pushes Eddie onto the ground and jumps on him, punching his face in. Edge gets up, as does Eddie, and Edge kicks Eddie in the gut. Edge throws Eddie down and hits a standing leg drop, followed by a fast elbow drop. Eddie rolls out of the ring to re-group. Edge stalks Eddie out of the ring, but Eddie sees him and charges at him. Edge hits a drop toe hold and Eddie's face slams into the steel stairs. Edge grabs Eddie back up and tosses him into the ring. Eddie lays flat out, as Edge gets ready for the spear. Eddie gets up slowly, and turns around with Edge charging for the spear, but Edge misses and gets his shoulder slammed into the post. Eddie picks Edge up and starts punching him in the head. Eddie throws Edge against the ropes and hits a back body drop, followed by a few clotheslines. Eddie gets Edge into suplex position, and hits a suplex, followed by spinning and hitting another suplex, he tries for a third, but Edge punches Eddie's gut and gets out of it. Edge runs against the ropes and tries for another quick spear, but Eddie dodges the spear again and gets tangled into the ropes. Eddie grabs Edge and hits the 3 amigos. Eddie then heads to the turnbuckle to climb up, but Lita jumps on the apron and distracts Eddie before he gets to the turnbuckle. Edge gets up and gets ready for a spear behind them. Eddie kisses Lita and tosses her onto the floor, before turning around and getting the spear. Edge pins Eddie. 1....2...3!

Winner: Edge

After the Edge is announced the winner, the 5 guys in all black come running back down to the ring. Edge grabs a steel chair, being ready for it, and hits one of them in the face. Another one comes up from behind and hammers Edge in the back. The five guys jump Edge and start hammering and kicking him in the back. They grab Edge up, and hit a double powerbomb. Eddie gets up and starts to try to help Edge, hitting the 5 guys, but being out numbered catches up to him, as he gets the same treatment as Edge. They start to leave the ring, but before they can, Shane McMahon gets on the titantron to make an announcement.

Shane McMahon: "Well, Well, Well, what a surprise. Once again, you guys come down and attack the main event of Adrenaline Rush. Well guess what, at Masters of War, this isn't happening."

The Mystery Men start to act confused and await an explanation from Shane McMahon.

Shane McMahon: "That's because at Masters of War, the main event will be a match where you guys can't get into the ring! That's right, we're going to have a good ol' fashion Steel Cage Match! Good luck getting attacking them there, guys."

Shane McMahon leaves the Mystery Men stunned and confused, as Adrenaline Rush goes off the air.
